Girpr Award

About the GIRPR

The Italian Group of Italian Researchers in Pattern Recognition (GIRPR) is a non-profit association of researchers, belonging to academic and research institutions as well as to industries, whose scientific interest is concerned with pattern recognition in a broad sense. The purposes of the Association (affiliated to the International Association for Pattern Recognition) shall be to promote and co-ordinate the studies in the field of pattern recognition, computer security, computer vision, and image processing. In pursuing such purposes, the Association will organise yearly meetings with schools, workshops or conferences, in order to involve as many Italian participants as possible also taking into account the national main directions of research.

GIRPR Award

The organizing committee will select one of the submitted extended abstracts as the recipient of the GIRPR award. The GIRPR award consists in a cash prize (500 euros) and a free subscription to GIRPR for one biennium. The award will be announced during the social dinner on Wednesday Aug 29.
